Peptide FAQs
What are peptides and how do they work?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that can act as signaling molecules in the body. In clinical peptide programs, specific sequences are selected to support targeted goals, such as recovery, metabolic health, or cognitive balance, based on medical evaluation and prescribing rules.
Are peptides safe?
Safety depends on the specific peptide, your health history, dosing, source, and oversight. Pharmacy-compounded products obtained through a licensed prescriber and reputable pharmacy follow quality standards that research-only or unverified sources may not. Always disclose medications, pregnancy status, and chronic conditions to your care team.
What is the difference between pharmacy-grade peptides and research-only products?
Pharmacy-grade peptides are prepared under compounding regulations appropriate to your prescription, with labeling and chain-of-custody suitable for patient use. Research-only materials are not intended for human use, may lack consistent purity, and are not substitutes for clinician-directed therapy.
Why is treatment a recurring prescription supply?
Peptide care requires a prescription. We order medication in advance so it arrives on time, ship pharmaceutical-grade peptides that are reconstituted for you with a set dosing protocol, and keep medical team access available to monitor side effects and provide support. The listed medication price is what you pay for each supply window (typically 4 weeks; some vials last longer).
What happens if I don't get approved by the provider for peptides?
In the rare case that there is a medical reason why you shouldn't be prescribed peptides, either the peptides you're interested in OR peptides in general, we will refund you fully and there will be no charge for the provider visit. It's our duty to be honest and provide the best care possible, even if that means turning some people away in rare cases.
When do I pay, and what if treatment is not prescribed?
Payment is for the listed medication and happens at checkout, before provider review. If a licensed provider does not prescribe treatment, you receive a full refund and there is no charge for the provider visit.
How do renewal and cancellation work?
Medication renews on the supply schedule shown on each product (typically every 4 weeks) until you cancel. Give 5–7 days' notice before the next renewal to avoid the next charge. Manage or cancel from your account or by contacting the care team.
What is included in my peptide purchase?
Expect a medication vial and supplies consistent with your prescription and pharmacy fulfillment model. Shipping (free 2-day) is included with the medication price. Educational coaching and care-team support are part of the program. Confirm details with your care team.
How much does shipping cost?
Every medication order includes FREE 2-Day Shipping. Delivery timing begins once your prescription is approved and the pharmacy releases your order. Shipping transit time is separate from intake, approval, and pharmacy-processing time.
Where is care available, and what is the visit format?
Our clinic is at 3975 Fair Ridge Drive, Fairfax, VA 22031. Asynchronous provider review is available in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Visit format (including how your first visit is conducted) is set by the care team.
How do I self-administer peptides?
Many therapies use subcutaneous injection, but route and technique are therapy-specific. Your clinician or pharmacy should provide training materials, demonstrations, and written instructions. Do not guess injection sites or volumes. Follow the plan you were given.
How long until I see results?
Timelines vary by therapy, dose, adherence, sleep, nutrition, and individual biology. Some people notice sleep or energy shifts early; body composition or recovery benefits can take longer. Your provider sets expectations for your plan.
Do I need to refrigerate my peptide?
Storage depends on the product. Follow the pharmacy labeling and the guidance your clinician provides. If storage instructions are unclear, contact the pharmacy before using the medication.
Where can I find recommended dosage?
Dosing is individualized and must come from your prescriber or pharmacy labeling. Website content is educational; it does not replace a personalized prescription. Estimated supply duration depends on the prescribed protocol.
Where should I inject my peptides?
Injection location depends on the drug, device, and training you received. Common subcutaneous sites include abdominal tissue or other areas your clinician approves. Use only the pattern you were taught.
